C3 W# [The Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise, guidance and support to ITT’s global supply base and to support plant specific quality concerns as needed.7 m" @9 Q; p( H9 m/ D * h, [; z. `! k* C* a; W9 F+ YRoles & Responsibilities3 E* Z& Y- h3 U6 U. N6 D & q0 K" I9 ~3 {, L/ T • Promote ITT’s global quality system throughout ITT’s global supply base 3 o$ ~" }# w0 [( P• Work with ITT’s Global Sourcing and Plant Sourcing Department to identify new/potential suppliers : k9 Q# C4 P4 _& y! I2 X• Perform/support audits on new and/or key suppliers as needed in order to establish stable process control and quality management system with supplier, improving parts quality situation.% ^2 _* w9 R* ~% T/ ]3 r • Be involved in the validation and the approval for production part and evaluation for process capability / H: f1 Y. A7 V2 ^• Adjust supplied parts’ quality problem, assist supplier to drive appropriate countermeasures accordingly and verify the follow-up activities and its effectiveness subsequently, and calculate the PPM. $ p1 c% c' K" ]1 `2 R0 d• Support to avoid the matters of customer claims and production disruptions caused by supplied part’s quality. + y0 \|# k: W% N1 ?5 M' o• Assess quality performance of supplier, put forward requirements of improvement objective and follow the implementation.' i. {0 i4 D4 G [4 H • Provide leadership/support to supplier to deploy Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes. , N' X" D$ M0 ~6 Q5 @+ K8 C- ?• Provide support, guidance, and training to both suppliers and ITT quality and manufacturing personnel as needed in terms of quality system, process control and technology.: {% X& C4 P! j1 E( w$ ^; H • Serve as a member of, and provide quality and technical leadership to the Commodity Teams
