Statement of the Role The Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise, guidance and support to ITT’s global supply base and to support plant specific quality concerns as needed. A* f: N% h5 g8 |7 ?•        Promote ITT’s global quality system throughout ITT’s global supply base 7 H( b- u; o- d; c) F•        Work with ITT’s Global Sourcing and Plant Sourcing Department to identify new/potential suppliers 7 P$ ?# S+ _/ |9 J- o0 m•        Perform/support audits on new and/or key suppliers as needed in order to establish stable process control and quality management system with supplier, improving parts quality situation. : m3 ~8 ?* Y; q( {- l+ k4 v( k' W•        Be involved in the validation and the approval for production part and evaluation for process capability ' G, v# G2 [7 }, o/ ?•        Adjust supplied parts’ quality problem, assist supplier to drive appropriate countermeasures accordingly and verify the follow-up activities and its effectiveness subsequently, and calculate the PPM. •        Support to avoid the matters of customer claims and production disruptions caused by supplied part’s quality. •        Assess quality performance of supplier, put forward requirements of improvement objective and follow the implementation. - g0 l( C( Z" [) e/ [1 Z5 {) A•        Provide leadership/support to supplier to deploy Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes. : b7 I  F( ?* O% @( Z, _4 D•        Provide support, guidance, and training to both suppliers and ITT quality and manufacturing personnel as needed in terms of quality system, process control and technology. •        Serve as a member of, and provide quality and technical leadership to the Commodity Teams
